One of the most popular (and my personal favorite) wedding trends right now is incorporating fruits and vegetables in decor and floral arrangements. Especially in the Northwest, there are so many locally-grown options to choose from including cherries, plums, peaches, mushrooms and kale. And like flowers, they come in a range of colors and textures. From the venue to the ceremony arbor, every detail of this styled shoot by Samantha Struck of StruckSured was designed around her meaningful connection to apple orchards. Keep reading below to learn more about the inspiration behind this apple harvest styled shoot from Samantha herself:
"The inspiration for this apple harvest styled shoot came from being rooted in a community that is so heavily focused on fruit and agriculture. My husband is a 5th generation Orchardist who makes hard cider; many of our friends and family work in the fruit industry. I wanted to pay respect to all the hardworking families in the valley who tirelessly work to bring fruit to the table. There are also so many weddings in the Gorge that happen to be on Orchards or Vineyards and yet the fruit itself is often overlooked as a décor element to incorporate. I try to pay homage to where I am and work with it, rather than just decorate it."
