"The wilderness is close to both of our hearts. We love to camp, hike and kayak together as much as possible. Since the beginnings of our relationship we were drawn to the redwoods, stealing away among the trees any chance we got, so we wanted to incorporate that into the ceremony. A small ceremony just made sense to us. We wanted to keep it simple surrounding ourselves with those who love us most.
Our officiant Stephanie Moore is a very close family friend of ours and felt like an obvious choice for officiant. Her effervescent spirit fills everything she does with love and light. We gave her free reign to say and do whatever she felt. We were thrilled with how it turned out. Proceeding the ceremony she used sage to cleanse the area, she then played us over on her ukulele, her kind words are forever etched in our minds."
