Blue & Leather Barnyard Inspiration Shoot

Written by

A nearly-naked cake topped with pink garden roses, brown leather ribbons dangling from the bridal bouquet, a chambray table runner - when it comes to springtime goodness, this shoot has it all. Though soft pastels and springy brights dominate the floral scheme, rustic elements like leather details, a spare barn venue and a cozy fur tossed over a wooden bench strike a gorgeously modern balance between feminine and rustic. Not to mention the adorable goat, who made a lovely addition to this real-life model couple's photos! There's something about furry friends draped in delicate floral garlands that elevates any bridal scene to impossible levels of sweetness. From the photographer:

"Weddings are supposed to be about the love between the bride and the groom, but all too often the groom gets kind of sidelined in this industry and everything becomes about the bride. We wanted to create an inspiration for a wedding that was just as groom-friendly as it was bride-friendly. We incorporated dutch patterns, dark blues, and leather to accomplish this as well as pretty florals and bronze accents to still keep it light and celebratory. We knew that dark blues and leather would play to a more rustic wedding, but we wanted to keep things upscale and more luxurious rather than country rustic. We chose Abbey Road Farm because it not only is extremely versatile, but also because of the beautiful views it has. The amazingly sweet goats didn't hurt either!"
