Talk about unexpected inspiration - in the wedding world, it seems that mint is a color typically reserved for spring and summer weddings. However, Ira & Lucy and O'Malley Photographers masterfully juxtaposed a springy color scheme against a snowy setting and wintry details like white florals and gold glitter in this inspiration shoot. A furry white stole and lacy, three-quarter-sleeve dress make for perfectly on-trend bridal details.
In our ongoing efforts to provide more resources to Eastern Oregon brides, many of the vendors featured in this shoot are Idaho-based. However, most are located within 45 minutes of the Oregon border, and creative
mastermind behind the whole shoot, Heidi Wight’s event coordination team
Ira & Lucy, specializes in
Northwest destination weddings.

From the coordinator:
"We shot at the beautiful Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch, outside of Sun Valley, Idaho in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. We were thrilled when the O'Malleys reached out to us to help bring the vision together. It was a collaboration dream! Elegant, classic furniture and decor featuring vintage details all focused around the mint, emerald gold, cream and copper color palette. Local designer Daci Johnson created this stunning, Gatsby-esque gown, with lace sleeves - and, hello, swoon-worthy fur bolero!"
From the photographers:
"Locally grown fare and iconic people of Sun Valley inspired our menus. Sun Valley was home to the infamous Ernest Hemingway and in trying to incorporate masculine elements, Sally Balt from La Happy calligraphied amazing menus to include the E. Hemingway Special and a Whiskey Old Fashioned, his drinks of choice. Local cake artist, The Sweet Crumb, crafted a classic ombre cake and locally grown huckleberry milkshakes were offered. Guests could participate in an excess of winter activities including ice-skating, skiing, and snowshoeing around the grounds of the ranch or cozy up fireside with a mug of hot cocoa. Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch (as seen in Sunset Magazine and Martha Stewart Weddings) made the perfect location for this shoot."
