Alicia Pryor-Stengel and Joseph Stengel share an immense love of travel and exploration, and their intimate elopement at Crook Point in Brookings brought the couple to Oregon for the first time. Joseph's proposal amidst a bioluminescent lagoon excursion in Jamacia was an appropriately adventurous occasion, a romantic culmination of their relationship, which began as childhood friends. The initial vision for Alicia was an Ireland elopement - but given the pandemic, keeping things in the United States became a focal point. On a mission to find spots across the US that echoed the same ambiance of Ireland, she stumbled across Crook Point and was immediately smitten. For the day-of festivities, the couple wed on a hill overlooking the ocean and explored the local terrain from sandy beaches and forest havens in style. Sydney Darwin captured the editorial edge of the day with artistic photos that showcased both the natural beauty and raw emotion of the event. Alicia opted for two looks, a whimsical tulle short dress for stylized photos and a bohemian-influenced lace creation from David's Bridal for the ceremony. Florals by Brookings Blooms were centered around Alicia's bouquet, which featured cattails, eucalyptus and toffee roses. A minimalistic but refined eucalyptus runner accented the sweetheart table where Alicia and Joseph enjoyed a private dinner. The sit-down dinner was a vision of elegance set in nature, where the couple enjoyed sushi and cake overlooking Oregon's coast. Simplistic décor added a sophisticated edge and the design went all-out for a romantic candlelit meal. Though the day was centered around the couple, Alicia's best friend helped with her hair and her cousin made an appearance at their ceremony for a meaningful addition. To end the night, Alicia and Joseph enjoyed a quintessential Oregon sunset while soaking in a hot tub. Perhaps the perfect end to their elopement, bride Alicia said, "It was very romantic and beautiful, the sunsets in Oregon are something else!"
