Track stars Brianne Thiesen, 24, and Ashton Eaton, 25, first locked eyes at the University of Oregon when she visited as a recruit. After graduating and both competing in the 2012 Summer Olympics (Ashton won the gold in the decathalon and Brianne took 11th in the heptathalon), the couple tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony surrounded by summery Oregon foliage. The classic celebration wasn’t without fun twists—the bride even surprised her groom with a homemade cake made with Funfetti cake mix, decorated to look like an Xbox. Following their dance-party nuptials, the busy couple returned to their North Eugene neighborhood before heading off to their honeymoon at—where else?—the 2013 World Championships in Moscow.
