How They Met: Mutual friends introduced Jodi and Jason at an Oregon State University football tailgate party in 2008. Over the next year, they got to know each other better, and eventually started dating after Jodi made the first move. How He Proposed: In 2010 in Las Vegas, Jodi balked at Jason’s suggestion that they take a long walk to the Bellagio Fountains in the rain. His romantic plan derailed, Jason simply pulled the ring out of his pocket and proposed. How They Wed: Avid Beaver fans, the couple planned their wedding in November at Vue in Corvallis so their day could be a part of the college football season. Deep red and purple floral arrangements with floating candles in vases adorned the reception area for a simple, romantic feel. The bridesmaids each wore a different dress from the same designer in a light champagne color. Guests enjoyed local cuisine and beverages as well as marionberry-and-chocolate cheesecake for dessert. The celebration continued the next day with a tailgate party on Saturday morning before the Beaver game. How They Live Happily Ever After: Jodi and Jason spent nine days post-wedding scuba diving, hiking and relaxing in Fiji. Jason works as a project manager at West Coast Industrial Systems, and Jodi is a planning manager for Lowe’s Distribution Center. The couple live in Lebanon, Oregon.
