Spencer and Noah Baer crafted a wedding that defied the expectations of their intimate gathering of 58 guests, many of whom traveled to Portland from across the country. Held inside Blockhouse at the Pomarius Nursery Orangerie, the celebration centered around how the grooms’ love had blossomed—a metaphor made literal with a stunning array of succulents. From the décor to the dessert bar, desert plants were everywhere, and in keeping with the motif, a cake was so lifelike that guests mistook it for the real thing. To symbolize their unity, the grooms created a unique tea blend, steeped it in a glass teapot and served it in matching glass cups during the ceremony. From Polaroid selfies filling a handmade guest book to a custom bear logo adorning everything from invitations to cuff links, each carefully curated detail reflected the couple’s deep and special bond.
A literal interpretation of "blossoming love" creates a wedding day dream, curated to showcase Noah and Spencer's love.
