From
the photographer:

“The newly
renovated Old Schoolhouse is alive with magical romance. The cool grey walls
are going to be silent witnesses of countless celebrations of love this summer.
It was important to the team to demonstrate how to elevate a simple space into
something romantic and glamorous so we really brought in the drama with
Greenlight Creative light backdrops and Stephanie Dong's couture wedding gowns.
The gilt-edged plate ware and posh seating from Classic Vintage Rentals
continued that vein.

Marsala, burgundy, blush and even
vibrant scarlet combined to create a rich palette that give brides another take
on their wedding day inspiration. Saturated paired with soft pastels was the
perfect balance for this wedding shoot.

Bramble floral brought together a
stunning array of wildflowers, dahlias and fresh dogwood to highlight current
blooms and bring the outdoors in. Antique brass urns were the perfect flower
receptacles and a nod to the former era, each with a story of their own.

Devils Food Catering really brought
refinement and elegance to their plating, with keen attention to details.
Locally sourced and in-season produce are their passion with vibrant colors
that matched our theme, including the raspberry macaroons favors. The naked
red-velvet cake was the perfect finish to our menu created by Portland's
favorite Dream Cakes bakery.

With plenty of window light, we completed the shoot against a book page
backdrop for some fun. This remarkably easy Photo-Booth DIY, is something a
bride could create for her own day using spray adhesive and a couple of old
classics. An "old schoolhouse" should surely have some tribute to
great literature.”
