Our Team Welcomes Lauren Mang, New Editor of Oregon Wedding Day

Spotlight

Dearest Oregon Wedding Day family,

We intended to send this message at an earlier date but held off due to the events in recent weeks. At Oregon Wedding Day, we’re focused on highlighting love. We hope that in trying times, we lean into loving each other a little tighter.

Fall is upon us, and with the change of the season comes some exciting change at Oregon Wedding Day.

I am so pleased to pass the editor torch to my fellow Oregonian Lauren Mang! I will be working in a managing editorial role over all seven of our brands at Iron Diamond Media, so trust I’m not going anywhere. My passion and self-proclaimed bias for Oregon will continue to reign. As most of you know from our relationships over the years, I have two little kiddos (5 and 7) that need me on the home front and not on an airplane. Lauren lives in Portland, and we’re looking forward to having her be a real physical presence in the market.

Lauren worked with me as a freelance writer during my first year as editor of Oregon Wedding Day (then Oregon Bride) in 2019, so she is not new to this world.

Lauren began her journalism career at Visual Merchandising and Store Design magazine. She later moved to Dallas to join PaperCity magazine as an assistant editor before heading to the Pacific Northwest, where she became part of the Seattle magazine team. There, she served as online editor and home interiors editor before being promoted to senior digital editor of seattlemag.com. In Portland, Lauren contributed to a range of publications, including international architecture and culture title GRAYSeattle Bride (now Washington Wedding Day), Oregon Bride (now Oregon Wedding Day), BRIDES.com, Quartz and Fossil Inc. After several years as Fossil’s global copy manager, she is thrilled to return to the magazine industry and even more thrilled to be part of this creative and thriving wedding space.

Lauren, take it away…

Cheers,
Chelsea Gibson
