Maya and Scott met on Hinge in Los Angeles in 2018 and have been inseparable ever since. In 2022, they traded Southern California life for West Seattle and quickly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. So, when it came time to plan the wedding of their dreams, the PNW was the perfect destination.
Mt. Hood Organic Farms, with its natural beauty, storybook charm and historic architecture, stopped them in their tracks. “Scott and I love the outdoors and spending time in nature, and we also love design and architecture and an elevated night out,” the bride says. “[It] truly felt like the best of both worlds—it just felt like us.” Amid the farm’s picturesque orchards and forested grounds, with stunning views of Mount Hood in the background, the pair became husband and wife. Florals echoed an elevated wildflower approach, featuring shades of vibrant blue, pink, orange and green, and were selected to enhance the venue’s natural vibe rather than distract from it.
The couple infused personal details throughout, including printed cocktail napkins starring their sweet pup and handwritten notes for every guest. During the ceremony, Maya’s mother recited a Chinese poem, and Scott’s father offered a prayer. For most friends and family in attendance, it was their first time in the Pacific Northwest—and Mt. Hood Organic Farms made a strong case that it wouldn’t be the last.
