When planning their wedding, Ashley and Jaxson knew what they wanted: an authentic celebration that felt intentional and rooted in their style as a couple. They chose to marry at the sprawling Wind Mountain Ranch, an idyllic setting near the Columbia River Gorge, where they exchanged their vows on a dock over a charming pond.
A burst of white blooms formed their altar, while ceremony florals were kept minimal to let the surrounding scenery shine. Inside, personalized details abounded. Tablescapes paid tribute to Ashley’s home state of Alaska, featuring moss harvested from the Tongass National Forest paired with earthy accents of grapes, artichokes and limes. The menu included a few personalized goodies, too, with eats such as Greek-style kebabs in a nod to the groom’s heritage.
To channel their love for country flair, they opted to bring a few Western elements into the mix, such as cowboy hats for newly appointed reception table captains, and a custom cowgirl hat for the bride. Guests signed the couple’s deck of cards guest book (an homage to their shared interest in a little harmless gambling), then kicked up their heels, rounding out the evening with Greek dancing and shots of ouzo.
