A Touch of Class
Shuttled in on a school bus, guests gathered in the midst of Oregon’s wine country to watch Kali Jeter and Mickey Gonzalez marry in the gardens of The Old Schoolhouse. With the guests’ enjoyment in mind, the groom surprised everyone, including the bride, with a cellist to perform during the ceremony. Working with a beautiful canvas both inside and out on the cool September day, the couple introduced unique touches to their pet-friendly reception with vintage mixed and matched china, a custom wine corkboard escort-card display and a Champagne tower.
Dual Celebration
Soon after the couple had chosen their wedding venue, the groom was diagnosed with brain cancer. With surgeries scheduled just months before the wedding, Mickey had a few of the tumors successfully removed, making this day extraordinarily memorable and meaningful for the couple. So, while this wedding was a celebration of love, it was also an act of gratitude for Mickey’s life.
A sentimental wedding became a celebration of gratitude after a health scare for the groom.
