With friends and family flying in from as far away as Europe, Isla Globus-Harris and Erik Lillethun wanted to give their guests a true taste of Oregon. Local foods, beer and wine were offered. “We also had marionberry ice cream, since it’s such a unique Oregon flavor. It was a huge hit!” says Isla. Paradise Springs, which is situated at the edge of Oregon’s coastal mountains, was the perfect backdrop for the couple’s serene, flower-filled day. The natural floral designs complemented the elegantly rustic venue without overwhelming it. “The florist snuck in some pitcher plants, which I loved!” says Isla. Isla’s and Erik’s unique rings were purchased from Maloy’s Jewelry Workshop in Portland, a store that specializes in antique and estate jewelry. “We both wanted something that wouldn’t go out of style, so vintage jewelry made sense,” says Isla. “My engagement ring is from the ’20s or ’30s and has a marquise-cut diamond surrounded by French-cut sapphires, set into white and yellow gold.”
