Urban Unveiled, held at chic industrial space Leftbank Annex last Thursday, was most certainly a feast for the eyes filled with incredible detail everywhere you turned. Who would have expected anything less with a theme like "The Garden of Eden"? Cindy Thompson Event Productions and Peter Corvallis Productions transformed the inside of the Annex with sumptuous greenery and wrought-iron details as far as the eye could see. On-trend, foliage-filled florals and fruit dripping from every corner? Crystal chandeliers and gilded tabletops galore? Yes, please! We can assure you, it was as enchanting as it sounds.
Upon entering the venue, brides-to-be tried on stunning bridal gowns and sipped on blackberry cocktails. Upstairs, Merit Badge Co. kept the libations flowing while Greenlight Creative set the mood for the evening by providing the sound equipment and lighting. Just up the stairs on a raised platform, grooms-to-be were pampered by HairM and decked out by Duchess, Clothier while Merit Badge’s whiskey bar kept the party going.
The evening was capped with the annual fashion show, curated by Anna’s Bridal, Charlotte’s Weddings & More and Duchess, Clothier. Playing off of the theme, the looks incorporated exquisite floral headpieces, fans and trains handcrafted by Francoise Weeks European Floral Design. Models graced the runway in romantic gowns ranging from the sleek and sophisticated to the full and elegant, while Mandalena Jewelry's designs added just the right amount of sparkle to each look. Face Body Beauty styled the models' hair in cascading, Eve-inspired waves, while their natural-looking makeup expertly showcased that desirable bridal glow.
Throughout the evening vendors and nearlyweds (all fabulously dressed, may we add) mixed and mingled, drink in hand, as they nibbled on small treats and discussed our favorite topic: all things "wedding". The evening culminated in raffle prizes of epic proportions – a diamond necklace from Packouz jewelers and a weekend excursion at Sunriver Resort, which were taken home by two seriously lucky ladies.
