Silcox Hut sits perched on Mt. Hood, and served as the picturesque location for Avery and Kevin's lavish white winter wedding. The bed and breakfast sits at 7,000 feet above sea level, and about a mile above its related property Timberline Lodge. It was an authentic winter experience for the entire group of wedding guests and our bride and groom, who traveled via Snowcat up the mountain to the ceremony and reception venue. Avery and Kevin's entire wedding day centered around the understated glam of a winter wedding, complete with seasonal florals and a fur bridal wrap that was simply classic.
Hues of forest green were woven into the intimate setup, appearing in linens and seasonal greenery which served as a living table runner at the reception. The space of the Silcox Hut is distinctly cozy, perfect for smaller parties and groups looking for a mountain adventure and overnight stay. The ceremony had our couple saying their vows in front of a grandiose fireplace with rustic allure and the reception transformed the same space into a dinner and dancing spot. Florals throughout the day kept things focused on nature featuring lots of greens and primarily white blooms for our bride's bouquet.
Avery opted to adorn a gorgeous thin-strapped gown with a sleek shape and a unique floral lace back for most of the day, but as the modern bride does - she came aptly prepared for the weather with a stunning fur wrap. Kevin brought his own style to his look with a classic black suit accessorized with a forrest green tie and bronze tie clip, which made for a timeless and dapper take on groom's attire. The showstopping moment of the day had to be photos on Mt. Hood, overlooking mountain vistas atop snow-covered grounds our bridal party and couple took photos that captured the ethereal beauty of Mt. Hood's winter months effortlessly.
