Residents of St. Paul, Minnesota, Abbigail Clark and Abigail Nelson celebrated their love with a destination wedding weekend in the Pacific Northwest, joined by an intimate group of friends and family. After a relaxed yet adventurous week of sightseeing, dining and even zip lining, the couple shared their heartfelt vows at The Griffin House, perched on the cliffs above the scenic Columbia River Gorge in Hood River. Even when light rain arrived for the ceremony, Abby and Abby embraced its enchantment, as it fit right in with the soft, romantic details of their genuine Pacific Northwest event. Florals by Brier & Ivy enhanced the venue’s backdrop with fun, whimsical arrangements of daisies, sweet peas, garden roses and ranunculus surrounded by wild and flowing greenery. Because guests were traveling from all over, the couple wanted to highlight local cuisine to give everyone a true Oregon experience while supporting the local scene. Cocktail hour included a charcuterie board that featured all local produce and cheeses, and the salad course showcased local fruit and even an Oregon strawberry vinaigrette. Local wines from Washington and Oregon, along with a signature berry punch cocktail inspired by one of the couple’s favorite restaurants in Portland, rounded out the guests’ local culinary experience. The celebration continued underneath the glow of disco balls hanging in the reception tent, which were a special touch to acknowledge the couple’s love of discos.
