From Pilar Ilo of Vintage Mingle:
"My inspiration for this luxurious Secret Garden styled shoot sprang from my love for elegant desserts displayed outdoors atop colorful, vintage pedestals. In the scene, the bride and her bridesmaids embody free and innocent spirits gathered together for a spring or summer bridal soiree. Shot by the talented Lindsey Rose Photography, the Secret Garden offers an enchanting, romantic, dreamy background for the bride and her attendants. It's a whimsical combination of Secret Garden meets Marie Antoinette complete with a gorgeous rose cake and natural floral arrangements.
Located in the gardens at the Historic Deepwood Estate in Salem, Oregon, guests are cordially invited to this garden party event with floral inspired invitations by Sweet Hart Papergoods. Upon entering, the Great Room Garden hosts a lounge where the bride and her attendants relax on a settee and chair provided by Something Borrowed while feasting on luscious Lux Sucre Desserts. These mouth-watering desserts carefully styled on a standing dessert tree with pedestals, vintage books, platters, and rustic brass keys (by Vintage Mingle Rentals) taste just as sweet and appetizing as they look! Natural florals complement the arranged desserts as they appear picked straight from the garden where they're naturally displayed.
The enchanting tablescape located in the Tea House Garden features the main dessert attraction, a beautifully designed three-tiered cake complete with pink rose accents and a striking rose topper. Rich miniature desserts and garden florals arranged by Sophisticated Floral Design surround the spread atop a stylish white sequined tablecloth from My Bella Angel Boutique. Each individual place setting is adorned with vintage plates, gold flatware, a detailed dessert menu, and packaged party favors featuring packaging designed by Sweet Hart Papergoods and Ribbon Jar topped with flowers and filled with mouth-watering macaroons. Nearby, the garden party spread is complete with a tray table hosting chilled bubbly and fresh berries for the delight of the bridal party and guests.
The bride (model Alexandra Hagel) and her attendants (models Madison Coco and Nikita Price) dyed their hair to match the color palette rich in pinks, mints, and lavender complete with pops of hot pink desserts and charming gray gowns. The bride's romantic gray lace dress pairs perfectly with the bridesmaids flowing silk dresses designed by CR Boggs Designs. Boho sandals by Bare Sandals adorn their feet while floral rings, necklaces, and hair pieces complete the garden attire with natural, handmade jewelry from the garden. Loose waves, braids, and natural make-up tones by hair and make-up artist Kendal Gerrard, lend to a vintage, innocent appearance from the early eras. With the help of cinematographers, SLF Weddings captures each detail and important moment to remember the bride's special day.
Designed and coordinated by myself (Vintage Mingle Rentals), and styled in part by Something Borrowed, this garden party is the perfect scene for the bride interested in romantic, outdoor, garden party events. A spread rich in fresh floral arrangements, Easter pastels, elegant vintage décor, and delicious desserts hosts a whimsical affair for the wedding party and guests. Soft details and french styles inspired by Marie Antoinette create a garden soiree fit for royalty."
