On this episode of Wedding Day Podcast, Sonja Babich is joined by co-host Alexis Sanabria, Publisher of California Wedding Day, for a conversation with Aly Rose, founder of Temecula-based Aly Rose Beauty. With a 45-artist team executing nearly 450 weddings per year, Aly has built one of Southern California’s most streamlined bridal hair and makeup companies—specializing in large bridal parties, diverse skin tones and complex wedding timelines.
Aly’s journey into bridal beauty began long before her business scaled to its current size. A self-taught makeup enthusiast from childhood, she styled proms in high school, glamorized sorority sisters at USC and quietly built a bridal clientele while climbing the corporate ladder as a VP of Sales in the medical industry. After surviving cancer and navigating motherhood, she made the pivotal decision to leave corporate America and fully commit to her purpose: creating an organized, supportive and stress-free bridal beauty experience.
That resilience would continue to shape her leadership. From a severe post-surgical infection to a near-fatal car accident, Aly has incredible perseverance. Rather than allowing setbacks to derail her, she doubled down on structure, clarity and long-term vision—principles that now define her company culture and client experience.
So how does a bridal beauty team manage 450 weddings annually without sacrificing quality? Aly credits systems. With detailed SOPs (standard operating procedures), a robust CRM platform, layered communication tools and administrative support, her team prioritizes over-communication and clear expectations. Longer service timelines prevent “turn and burn” artistry, and proactive collaboration with planners ensures hair and makeup never becomes the scapegoat for a delayed schedule.
Customization is equally central to Aly Rose Beauty’s success. Brides choose their preferred communication style—text, phone or email—and artists are matched based on personality, aesthetic and location. The recent launch of The Beauty Collective by Aly Rose, a full-service salon in Temecula offering previews, rehearsal blowouts and on-site flexibility, further elevates the experience. While most services remain on location, the brand also travels nationwide for destination weddings, reinforcing its “affordable luxury” positioning.
Looking ahead, Aly’s vision extends well beyond bridal hair and makeup. After participating in forecasting calls for a potential Netflix series—and receiving strong interest from producers—she is exploring future television opportunities that could spotlight both her artistry and entrepreneurial journey. At the same time, she is expanding into education and coaching, helping creative business owners nationwide apply corporate-level systems, communication strategies and resilience to their own brands. Throughout the conversation, Aly credits platforms like California Wedding Day for elevating her business and reinforcing the power of community within the wedding industry. Above all, she remains committed to cultivating a joyful, supportive team culture.
