In this episode of Wedding Day Podcast, host Sonja Babich, CEO of Iron Diamond Media, is joined by co-host Brooke Beise, Publisher of Minnesota Bride, for a conversation with Grace Myler Nesburg, founder of Grace Myler Media and The Wedding Edit. As one of the first wedding content creators to emerge in the Midwest market, Grace shares how this fast-growing service is reshaping how couples capture and relive their wedding day—and why more couples are adding a content creator to their vendor team.
Grace began her business four years ago, focusing on social media management and content creation for brands, quickly building a niche within the wedding industry by working with bridal boutiques, photographers and other vendors. As demand grew, couples began asking if she could document their own wedding days. In 2023, she officially launched The Wedding Edit, a dedicated wedding content division of her business. What started with just three weddings quickly scaled to more than 50 annually, with a growing team of content creators capturing celebrations across Minnesota and beyond.
At the core of the conversation is a key question many couples are asking: what does a wedding content creator actually do? Grace explains that, unlike traditional videography, wedding content creation is focused on capturing candid, behind-the-scenes moments using an iPhone. The result is a collection of short-form, vertical videos and raw clips delivered within 24 hours, along with edited highlight videos shortly after. Rather than replacing a videographer, content creators offer a complementary perspective—documenting the in-between moments that often go unseen.
The episode also explores how content creation fits seamlessly into a wedding day timeline. From filming playful TikTok transitions during getting-ready moments to capturing subtle interactions before the ceremony, content creators work alongside photographers and videographers to enhance—not disrupt—the flow of the day. Through pre-wedding consultations, Grace and her team tailor their approach to each couple, whether that means producing trend-driven content or focusing on a more documentary-style recap.
Importantly, Grace emphasizes that wedding content creation isn’t just for social media influencers. While some couples opt for Instagram Story takeovers or real-time posting, all content is delivered in a private digital album, allowing couples to revisit and share moments on their own terms. The service also benefits wedding vendors, as content creators often tag and highlight the full vendor team, providing valuable exposure and real wedding context for future clients.
Ultimately, the most meaningful impact of wedding content creation lies in what couples gain emotionally. From capturing a partner’s private reaction to a letter to documenting moments with family members who couldn’t attend, these videos preserve the full story of the day in a way that feels immediate and deeply personal. As Grace shares, it’s often the moments couples didn’t see that become the most treasured—and having access to them just hours after the wedding is what makes this service truly transformative.
