How They Met: The couple first met at church one fateful Sunday when they wound up sitting next to each other. How He Proposed: James planned a summer horseback ride and gourmet picnic before proposing in a mountain meadow filled with wildflowers. How They Wed: The bride and groom kept their wedding at the lush Leach Botanical Garden intimate by inviting only 85 close friends and family. A torrential downpour and lightning storm right before dinner threatened the outdoor reception, but everything was quickly moved inside the Manor House, where the party continued unabated. How They Lived Happily Ever After: After spending the wedding night at Hotel deLuxe in downtown Portland, the couple departed for their honeymoon in Victoria, British Columbia. They have settled in Vancouver, Washington where Hannah works for the public affairs firm Hubbell Communications, and James is a technical writer and part-time officer in the Oregon Air National Guard.
