When it comes to wedding styles, I often feel torn between my affinity for all things glam and sparkly and my concurrent love affair with the rustic and understated. It’s these two aesthetics that make Stephanie and Anthony’s wedding one of my favorites—this couple pulled off a wonderfully woodsy wedding day with just enough rhinestones and antique chandeliers to satisfy the glamour diva within. Stephanie got the bridal look in particular just right—those photos of her standing in the woods, wrapped in a fur stole, draped in head-to-toe lace, carrying a unique bouquet of sunset-hued florals and feathers, look straight out of a bridal fashion editorial. From the photographer, Xiomara Gard of Imago Dei Photography:
"The beautiful Oregon woods, the unique floral arrangements, the big band playing nonstop swing to a full dance floor, the handmade details of each gift they made for their friends and family - which included a special brew made by none other than the groom himself - to the beautiful intimate Catholic wedding made this one beyond-beautiful wedding. But what made it even more special than the hand crafted details was the genuine beauty of the couple. From singing to their parents, as a way to thank them for their exemplary marriages in which they had the honor of growing up with, to bowing their heads soon after their first look to ask God's blessing on their wedding, Anthony and Stephanie confidently made their day about the things they most value in this new shared life. Their deep faith, love of Oregon beauty and distinct style was perfectly integrated into a stunning event none will soon forget!"
