How They Met: Courtney and Rachelle, both 25, performed in separate collegiate a cappella groups when they met at a joint show at the University of Oregon. Although Courtney went to college in Utah, she visited Rachelle in Eugene often and moved there after graduation. How She Proposed: In April 2011, Rachelle was surprised at U of O with a friend-filled, flash-mob performance for her as members of the crowd handed her tulips. When the song ended, she was escorted to a more private area where Courtney, no stranger to high-pressure moments as a contestant on NBC’s talent show The Sing-Off, got down on one knee. How They Wed: Friends serenaded the couple throughout their very musical wedding celebration—even Courtney and Rachelle graced the crowd with their talents. At the reception, guests sat family style and dined on a buffet that included pomegranate chicken, beer-braised beef and a bruschetta bar. How They Live Happily Ever After: After a honeymoon in Seattle, Courtney and Rachelle returned home to Lake Oswego. Courtney is an assistant manager at Tilt, a restaurant in North Portland and Rachelle is the front office supervisor at the Crowne Plaza Portland hotel in Lake Oswego.
