Hali Kimball & Emory Wanger
July 28, 2012
Private residence, Ridgefield, Washington
How He Proposed: After two years of dating and several deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Emory proposed on Christmas morning. How They Wed: The couple were married in Hali’s father’s backyard just across the Oregon border in Ridgefield, Washington, with views of Mount St. Helens and the Columbia River. Flowers Washougal crafted arrangements with wildflowers, succulents and roses that sat atop burlap and lace covered tables underneath a ceiling of 260 tulle pompoms handmade by Hali. During the last dance, Emory surprised Hali by performing a song he wrote for her. How They Live Happily Ever After: A weeklong honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas was followed by five days in Sonoma, Arizona before the pair returned home to Camas, Washington, where Hali is a biology major at Washington State University and Emory is a personnel manager.
