As they were moving in to college and saying goodbye to the families they'd known their whole lives, Megan Bast and Andrew Lauritzen met each other and found the family they would end up knowing for the rest of their lives. The two had an instant connection and ended up moving to Seattle after they graduated, landing their dream jobs and adopting their dream puppies. Nine years after they'd first met, the couple found themselves back at their alma mater, with Andrew on one knee as Megan said "yes" at the same spot they shared their first kiss. A bottle of wine later, the two had planned their mountaintop wedding, complete with and elegant woodland atmosphere, warm earthy tones, wildflowers and string lights. The couple shares the gift of creativity, so much of their nuptial accouterments were handmade, including their stationery, signage, cocktail tables, cake stands and Megan's earrings. The bride did her own hair and makeup, opting for a relaxed low updo and natural glam that echoed the surroundings. After their private ceremony, the couple shared a charcuterie board topped off by a Champagne and Scotch toast. Heading to the top of Mt. Hood, they shared an intimate first dance as their dreams came to fruition. To top off the night, friends and family joined in at a casual reception featuring a pizza food truck, cakes made by Andrew's mother and flowers grown by Megan and arranged by her best friend and photographer, Kaley Rae.
