How They Met: Craig, 33, and Megan, 31, aka “the Craigans,” first locked eyes during a speed-dating session that served as the icebreaker before a meeting of the Portland Central America Solidarity Committee (PCASC). How He Proposed: Craig proposed to Megan in their home after a trip to meet Megan’s parents in Indiana. After just seven months together, they knew they wanted to be best friends for the rest of their lives. How They Wed: English and Spanish readings during the ceremony revealed the depths of the couple’s devotion to each other and to making the world a better place. Fixing the world’s problems took a backseat for the night, however, as the couple’s rainbow-colored reception turned into a wild dance party complete with a vinyl-spinning DJ. How They Live Happily Ever After: After a honeymoon in Chiapas, Mexico, the Craigans returned home to Southeast Portland, where Megan is a communications specialist for Laborers’ Local 483 and Craig is an organizer with the PCASC.
