It was a ladies’ and guys’ night out for Portlanders Samantha, 32, and Gavin, 33, when they first met at a bar in 2008. After a first date at a museum, life has been an artful adventure ever since. Gavin proposed to Samantha in front of their friends after camping—and carefully carrying his great grandmother’s ring to the top of Mount St. Helens. Even with a rainstorm interrupting their rustic, laid-back wedding at Pendarvis Farms, Samantha and Gavin had the time of their lives camping out with family and friends, playing with hula hoops and chowing down Koi Fusion tacos and Lauretta Jean’s pies.
