Snowy Narnia-Inspired Winter Barn Wedding

I’m incredibly partial to weddings that bring my literary favorites alive—first there was the summery backyard Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter-themed wedding, followed by the dreamy Shakespeare-inspired garden party, and now, this Narnia-esque affair. There’s something magical about a celebration of love and commitment set against the backdrop of a place that previously only existed in my imagination (and, of course, the silver screen...and the imaginations of readers everywhere who grew up on C.S. Lewis). Though the resemblance of Stephenie and Steven’s DIY-heavy affair to the Narnia forest was unintentional, attendees seemed to agree unanimously on the stunning snow-covered venue’s similarity to The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’s setting.

Snow-covered, forested farmland set an incredible stage for this big day, and—literary references aside—this Central Oregon wedding was a cozy winter dream. While bridesmaids draped in mismatched fur stoles looked on, the couple walked down a white aisle in a darkened barn lit with hundreds of tiny tea lights housed in mason jars and guests dined on caramel apples drizzled with white chocolate. Keep scrolling to see the whole cheerful, snowy affair!
