Luscious, Romantic Wedding Celebration at Castaway in Portland

Emily and Hansen's wedding day in the Portland area reflected the couple's contemporary style at the urban chic venue Castaway, where an elegant floral-filled design with crisp, black and white details came to life. Our wedding party spent the morning preparing at Sentinel, a gorgeous modern hotel in downtown Portland that served as a glam backdrop for photos. Colors for the day centered around the timeless theme of black and white infused with garden greenery. Splashes of sage were a theme that infused fashion and décor, adding a lovely addition to the monochromatic hues of green on display. Florals crafted by Blum Floral Design added splashes of ballet pink into all-white bouquets and décor. Greenery was draped elegantly along banquet tables in addition to spectacular floating arrangements that featured more ombré tones. Photographer Rithy of RT Faith Photography expanded on the reception design, "Sleek lines and minimalist décor adorned the space, creating an atmosphere of understated sophistication. Yet, amidst the clean design, bursts of vibrant greenery breathed life into the surroundings, adding a touch of natural beauty to the urban setting." Some of the couple's personal interests made appearances in the day's festivities, which included a curated vintage whiskey bar to reflect Hansen's love of speciality spirits. A sprawling selection of candy was another delight that allowed guests to pack up a bag and take a sweet treat on their way out.
